Background Check

Camp requires that we have a Criminal Background Check (CBC) for every volunteer that is 18 years or older each year as we believe that the protection of our campers is our highest priority.

Please note that if you will not be at least 18 years old during the summer, you do not need to complete the CBC.

Canadian Volunteers

Canadian volunteers will have to obtain a different police background check as we are not able to process them. It is important to make sure that your police report includes the vulnerable sector check and not just a background check. In order to ensure that this, use your local church as the volunteer organization rather than listing Camp Li-Lo-Li.

U.S. Volunteers

U.S. resident volunteers can completed the background check online initiated by the staff volunteer. This is for your protection in order to limit the transmittal of your personal information.

There is a cost of $10.75 to complete the background check using this service. We do not want this to be a hindrance to staff and therefore Camp will pay for the cost of the background check if so desired. There are three options for U.S. resident volunteers to submit their background check and have it provided to Camp.

  1. If you already have a 2025 nationwide background check, you can send us a copy and we will confirm whether it meets our requirements. Please send to the Staffing Coordinators at the email or mailing address below.
  2. Would you be willing to support camp by paying for the background check? If yes, please use this link to begin the process online. Thank you for your contribution to the ministry at Camp.
  3. If you are not able to pay for the background check, you can initiate the check using this link to begin the process online and Camp will pay for it.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are submitting your background check through CampBackgroundChecks.com (our service provider), please make sure you enter your full name including middle name and/or initial.
