Staff who would like to get certified for archery to open the archery range during the summer camp sessions can participate in the Archery Instructor Certification training with Mark White starting on Friday, June 28th at 7pm and concluding by Saturday, June 29th at 4pm.
Teaching archery at Camp Li-Lo-Li requires a USA Archery Level I instructor certification. This nationally recognized course will enable you to serve as an archery instructor at camp and elsewhere. The stated purpose of the Level I certification is, “To introduce how to teach archery to a new instructor, who has most likely never shot before.” Scope of training includes safety, range setup, basic equipment setup and repair, and teaching the basic steps of shooting. The certification process consists of approximately 50% classroom training and 50% hands-on instruction at the archery range.
You must be at least 15 years old to participate in the training. Camp will provide the cost of the training materials and meals will be provided.
If you have any questions or would like to register to attend, please email Mark White at Mark.Lori.White@gmail.com. We would appreciate if you registered by June 15th for planning purposes.
