What a great week of fellowship and ministry during this past week of Family Camp. In spite of a few rainy days we were able to enjoy many of the activities of camp, and still have an opportunity to sit under the sound of very challenging ministry by Mike Attwood and Nate Bramsen.

Mike took up the topic of the Joy of the Lord, found in Philippians, while Nate spent some time on the call of Abram found in Genesis. His thoughts were focused on the Hope that we have in Christ. Both were led to challenge us all as believers to be doers of the Word, not just hearers. There should be a response of obedience in our lives every day.

Many of our regular camp activities like hayrides, fishing derby and the traditional Fourth of July softball game were still a part of camp and enjoyed by all of our campers. A number of families used the week to hold their own mini family reunions as well! This year we were pleased to have many new families with us at camp.

In addition to our regular events, we also had two new activities that families could enjoy together. The first was a hike on our own property led by several naturalists from Allegany State Park. It was wonderful to see the variety of plants and animals the Lord has given to us on our camp property! Later in the week, we had a man who has devoted his life to bird rescue and rehabilitation bring some of his bird friends and tell us all about them.

We thank the Lord for the great time we had together and look forward to another full week of Family Camp next July!
