Many will be saddened to hear of the passing of our dear brother, “Uncle Bill” Ferguson. Uncle Bill was a fixture at camp for decades and for so many of us, when we think of camp, we think of Uncle Bill! But he is rejoicing today in the presence of his Savior and reunited with his dear wife, Betty and those that went on before and so we rejoice with him! Well done, good and faithful servant.
William D. Ferguson (Uncle Bill), 89, of Salamanca, passed joyfully into the presence of his Lord and Savior, on Sunday, (February 17, 2013) at Bradford Manor. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland November 30, 1923 to John and Jean ( Dunsire) Ferguson. They immigrated to the U.S. in 1925.
He served in the Army in WWII as a radio operator in an armored car division. On September 14, 1946 he married his Navy wave bride, Elizabeth Orwig in Pittsburgh P.A. who predeceased him on June 5, 2006. He served the Lord in many different ways; Murrysville Bible Chapel, Red House Chapel, Camp Li-Lo-Li, Wholeway House, Voice of Many Waters radio program, Salamanca Christian Academy and Salamanca Bible Chapel. 

 He is survived by a son Bill Jr. (Sue) Ferguson, daughter Cathie (Jerry) Whitcomb, daughter Betsy (Allan) McIntee, son Jim (Donna) Ferguson and son Kirby (Andrea) Ferguson, as well as 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Abbey Ferguson, and nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his brother John Ferguson.

Visitations will be 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm on Wednesday February 20th at O’Rourke & O’Rourke Funeral Home, 25 River St. Salamanca N.Y.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 1 pm at a place to be determined tomorrow.
