At the beginning of September, Beth Larter and Hannah Curletta boarded a plane from Rochester to London to Lusaka, Zambia to serve the Lord in two different places! Hannah will be serving as a nurse at the Kalene Mission Hospital and Beth Larter will be working at Sakeji School in a variety of places, but has found a happy home in the school library.

Both Beth and Hannah have spent many years at Camp Li-Lo-Li as second and third generation campers. Both have more recently served on staff as counselors, kitchen workers and even on the ropes course! Both are certified ropes course facilitators. This past year Hannah also took on the role of Assistant Health Director.

Here are a few pictures of their adventure so far!

Hannah at Kalene Mission

Here is Hannah with a few of the nurses at the mission hospital. Although Hannah is a registered nurse in the US, she needed to get her Zambian nursing license to practice nursing at the mission. Now that she has that, she is getting to help both in the hospital as well as a visting nurse in some of the nearby villages. We pray for the Lord’s protection and blessing on her time there.

Beth Larter is a few hours away at Sakeji school, which was a boarding school for missionary children for many, many years. Today many of the students are local. We thank the Lord for the impact she will be able to have on the lives of these many students.

We are grateful that these young women have taken on this challenge and pray the Lord’s blessing on them  both. This will be an adventure of a lifetime!
