We will be holding a new Wilderness First Aid training program at camp on Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday morning, May 20-22, 2011. This course teaches how to respond to an emergency when help may be delayed and is for those who are over the age of 14 with a current CPR certification.

Topics include:
• Primary and Secondary Assessments      • Head (Brain), Neck and Spinal Injuries    • Heat-Related Emergencies   • Hypothermia    • Altitude-Related Illnesses    • Allergies and Anaphylaxis    • Burns 
• Bone and Joint Injuries   • Wounds and Wound Infection

The training will be held at camp beginning at 8.00 pm on Friday May 20, 2011 and is expected to finish around noon on Sunday May 22, 2011. The cost is $25.00 and includes training materials. Note: We will also be running CPR and RTE re-certification on Saturday at 10.00 am. Please let Betsy know if you would like to be included.
